PACKAGING REGULATIONS

Money, jewels, pornographic and gambling material, human or animal remains (hair and others), explosive or incendiary materials, firearms, military supplies, perishable food and beverages which need refrigeration or authorization of the sanitary authorities, insects, dry ice, waste, animals or plants, used hypodermic needles or syringes and any other items restricted or regulated substances are forbidden unless permitted by the applicable law or regulatory norms.

PRACTICAL RULES OF THE NORMATIVE INSTRUCTION

  • According to the Normative Instruction which rules the Courier activity in Brazil, the products dispatched are subject to 60% of the importation tax on the CIF value of the good (value FOB + Freight+ Insurance).

  • Importation tax (I.I.) is estimated as follows:
    CIF value x 60% of tax x Current Dollar value = I.I.
    Importation of products by courier are allowed to shipment in a value not greater than USD 3,000.00, and 3 copies of the commercial invoice in the English language must be provided, COMERCIAL INVOICE, and one of the invoices must be placed inside the volume.

  • Exportation of the products by courier is allowed in a value not greater than USD 10,000 and three commercial invoices in English language, COMERCIAL INVOICE, must be provided and one of the invoices must be placed inside the volume.

  • In every taxable and non-taxable goods, the name of the physical person or the name of the company for legal entities as well as the CPF or CGC must be specified. In case of parcels, information must be expressed both in the commercial invoice and in the TALUZZO AIRWAY BILL.

  • For documents deliveries, only the AIRWAY BILL from TALUZZO will be needed. All and any unexpected event will be informed to the customer.

  • COURIER rules are in constant change according to the customs needs.

VOLUMETRIC WEIGHT

The cubic volume of a package is established by applying the biggest height, by the biggest width and biggest length, dividing it by 6,000 cm and then multiplying by the number of volumes.
